A $2 peice of 2X4 can save alot of headaches.
This extra step taken provides a super strong mount for the Tri-Pod shown above.
It keeps the antenna system securely mounted and prevents movement caused by wind which leads to leaks in the roof which could lead to disaster.
If you look closely you can see the tip of the first of 2- 3inch by 3/8 stainless steel lag screws securing the tri-pod down. The 2X4 is also screwed to the adjoining rafter.
